Going and going…

Today is my 2nd anniversary of my running passion. it all started in Drew Arellano’s Happy Run where I ran bandit! I didn’t look back after that and continue with the thing I started to love. I had my first and second marathon before my 1st year ends and on the 2nd phase, I unfold new stories and beat myself over and over again! Haha!

Highlights

Condura Marathon – I hit my first sub 5 on a marathon at 4:58. You’ll never see my name though because it was under a name of a dear friend who inspired me to beat her! Unfortunately, she was just too good for me.

 

Bataan Death March – My first ultramarathon. A 100k’er. Who would ever thought I could finish?

TNF50 – A month after BDM I joined a trail ultramarahon but decided to run just half of TNF’s cocktail. Thanks Ellen for pulling my leg to join. This is indeed the hardest race I’ve joined to date. PAU Races Baldrunner’s ultra race in different province is breath-taking. Unexpected terrain but I could say awesome!

Marathon, marathon, marathon! Oh boy I joined 3 more marathons! Milo, CamSur and QCIM. PR to beat now is 4:51.

Multisport- I dread water! I dread biking, but for the love of the game, I tried and was able to improve myself! Ateneo Aquathlon, AAA Cup and NAGT Super-Mini Tri.

PR’s – I hit my 10k at 52 mins now. I haven’t tried sole 5k but I dd a pretty much good split at 24.

Podium Finish

Fat Ass Run totally came to me by surprise. Fat Ass King is the tittle I may have to carry for all year round!

Yeah I’m good ain’t I? On the other hand, there were a lot of people behind my success… Takbo.ph friends, Team CB, my family and of course, God! Who and Where is the fat-assed argonaut without them… Oh well, i am Looking forward again for the phase 3 of my running passion! Wherever life is taking me this time, i’m sure it will be another story to tell. Until then…

Bandit?

My blog has been idle for quite a month now. No updates whatsoever of anything despite the fact that you can see me most of the time in some occasions. I must say that I am really busy. Busy with the training I require to myself in order to be in shape for the event that I will be joining this month and next month, not to mention my busy work schedule too. I am really putting everything in place closely so my mind had been too preoccupied to write. 

Photographer Mode

Anyway, in the past few weeks I volunteered as a photographer in the recently held Takbo.ph Runfest and followed by the Dean’s Cup a week after. This is my way of thanking all my friends who has supported me every time I race. A few weeks from now, I’ll be joining a 65Km race in Laoag and I am really trying to condition myself at least on that race. 

I am still running though but not in any running events because I feel that joining too many races can empty my pocket quick, yet but I am not saying I’m not joining any of them anymore.  I just don’t have much resources at present.  Joining running events out of town can really cost a lot because you need also to enjoy the race other than running there. 

Still on practice...

I am also into swimming, trying to be even more serious because I am aiming to join multisport too someday.  I am amazed at my progress in this sport.  Before, I can’t even move 5 meters and dread to be at the pool after a couple of minutes; however, I can now do laps even longer laps… Yet I believe that I still need to practice more.   

 I will definitely catch up on this blog soon… Soon..

I always wanted to be a swimmer. I think this is one my frustrations in life… To be a swimmer. I could float, which I learned when I was in college but that is just it.  I envy people who could swim so fast and so good.

Maybe I can try this out and study its science and art soon.

Oh man! I just cant wait…
